This was what it was like at the beginning of mobile phones and then again at the start of bluetooth headsets.

People get used to it pretty quickly (but will always hate it on trains and planes).

My rule of bluetooth headsets: the more often you wear it (when you're not on a call), the more likely you are a douchebag.

It's held up fairly well, even as bluetooth adoption has increased.
