I have to wonder if some of the comments here are satirical regarding security being better on the web. Nothing screams secure like allowing anyone with an internet connection globally to poke and prod at your duck-typed interpreted language that has 91,324 dependencies for a TODO app.

Those comments are describing security from the standpoint of the user, not the service provider.

I'm assuming far less risk visiting a unknown website than I am downloading and running an unknown binary.
