Yay more inflation!


For reference, in 2019, it was 333 billion.


This is an incorrect comparison. The omnibus bill based in March 2019 was passed after 5 other spending bills had already passed. It reflected a small part of the overall FY2019 budget. When all spending bills are accounted for the FY2019 budget was $1.34 trillion. So far this year the federal government has been running on continuing resolutions so this omnibus spending bill actually reflects the budget for FY2022. So the comparison is between $1.34 trillion and $1.4 trillion. If you consider the rate of inflation between 2019 and 2022 this is about the same or a bit of a haircut from 2019.
