That’s exactly why it’s such a bad interview question, regardless of how “fundamental” it is to a website, changing the HTML <head> tags will never be within the new hire’s scope of work.

They will basically never ever in their entire career need to do this.

It’s like hiring a C++ developer by quizzing them on random gcc flags. These are things that make up 0.00001% of the total work produced by the dev.



Now I'm thinking its a good idea to quiz developers on the first 10 lines of some arbitrary Makefile
