Just recently read about Selenium & CoQ10 ... 200 mg each taken together provided measurable cardiovascular benefits

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33920725/

That almost seems too good to be true...

But then again the cure to scurvy was also really simple and people still messed it up for 100 years...

> A low intake of selenium is associated with increased cardiovascular mortality.

> A low intake of selenium is associated with increased cardiovascular mortality. This could be reduced by supplementation with selenium and coenzyme Q10.

What's unclear about the phrasing in this quote is... does "low intake" mean people who don't get enough selenium, thus their intake is low, or, does it mean that supplementing with low doses of selenium.

They mean an insufficient quantity of selenium, the wording is a little confusing but it's used a lot in medical contacts

>2500mg of Q10 will see vitamin K and E like activity.

200 ug of selenium.

Important correction. Selenium is a trace element. 200 milligrams is five hundred times the maximum safe dose!
