Except that Unison created its own language which makes pretty sure that they are doomed to fail.. I don't know if there is a technical reason for the new language or if it's NIH syndrome.

It's normal to experiment with new concepts in a new language built around that concept. Then eventually, if it's a good idea, other languages get the hint.

But I don't see the link between a 'different kind of VCS' like Unison is and a language..
