A great example of this is the word "refusenik". Originally a term used to refer to those refused permission to emigrate from the USSR, but weirdly the British press began using it to mean "someone who doesn't want to do something". That is basically what that word means now in English, you'd probably struggle to find someone using it who knows the original meaning.
