A message from the OpenSUSE Board regarding Free Software Foundation (opensuse.org)

Looks like SUSE controls 2 of the board seats directly, and 2 to 3 seats are indirectly controlled by SUSE.

Its interesting to watch how these organizations behave, I had the displeasure of watching a colleague interview with SUSE a few weeks ago. Microsoft Teams was all they were willing to meet on (Jitsi and other alternatives were nixed), and the technical interview consisted of solely FizzBuzz questions.


One good youtube channel that covers commercial open source is https://www.youtube.com/c/TFiRio/videos if you watch it you'll realize that open source is merely goodwill for a lot of companies and how open to closed source they are; commercial entities can not actually care about FOSS itself but they care about their image.
