NodeBB Inc. is a Toronto based company that develops NodeBB, the open-source forum software powering many communities online today. We took a proven communication model (bulletin boards) and modernized it for today's audience.
NodeBB powers some of the largest forums online, handling thousands of concurrent connections without skipping a beat. We boast clientele from around the world, including triple A gaming companies, world-class academic institutions, and multi-national financial corporations.
We're currently looking for a Front End Developer/Designer with solid JS, HTML/CSS knowledge who can work remotely. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension up to 1 year. The skills and experience required:
* Solid working knowledge and experience with the Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop/Illustrator
* Strong understanding of Node.js, ES6, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL
* Familiarity with git, ssh, bash shell
* General understanding and knowledge of front-end development
* Proficiency using modern web development technologies and techniques, including HTML5, CSS/LESS/SCSS, JavaScript (vanilla + jQuery), Responsive Design, web services, etc.
* Familiarity with NodeBB's open source codebase is a plus.
