I don’t believe that paying for your reputation was what the poster meant. Blockchain can be used for basically “write once” non-alterable records that you can prove you “own” without any currency aspects. That is basic blockchain tech. However it would cost money to run the machines that managed the BC and people would not do that without an economic incentive so maybe you’re right?
