Nike's new sneaker innovation? No hands required (cbsnews.com)

I understand this is a dress shoe, but running shoes are pretty easy to slip on and off without your hands. Once I get the right shoelace tension on my running sneaks, I never untie then again. I believe this is fairly common.

The concept is interesting and I can absolutely see the appeal for those without the use of their arms/hands or otherwise impaired.

However I also see these wearing out very quickly, due to the elastic band stretching and the flexible part of the sole falling apart due to wear. I also wonder how it will deal with dirt, grit and small debris falling between the soles.

I really hate the new dark pattern of prompting users to choose between the web site’s app and my mobile browser. Every visit to a cbs page. No way to set a preference, so a constant ad for an app I will never install.

Hopefully Apple will add a setting to prevent this into iOS.

What a bunch of a-holes to code something like this.

Shoes are neat as having slip on running shoes are a real convenience.

Consumers would be reasonable to assume that design will be rife with wear and tear issues.

I look forward to seeing people try to step on other peoples heels on the street :)

This is awesome, my wife breaks down the heels on her runners the whole time

I wonder how many hands were used to make this shoe.
