We spend several million a year on AWS and intend to migrate as soon as possible. We’re a small drop in their bucket, but I am just done dealing with them.

Where do you think you're going to go where they don't have the same sort of policies?

I'm actually very curious to see who will be willing to accept Parler's business.

ISPs sit behind section 230. They can’t take a political stance for shit on the wire.

The next move for Parler would be to build their own data center and buy service from ISPs.

Section 230 applies equally to ISPs and AWS and it does not do what you say it does. (actually AWS is an ISP)

And B2C ISPs can discriminate because Republicans, you know, ended net neutrality.

Or use cloud services from companies which historically haven't played politics, many of which are ISPs as well: Verizon, ATT, IBM, etc.

Who hosts InfoWars?

It's a big world. Someone will host them.

just to clarify, your private company is choosing not to do business with AWS for political reasons?

Not OP, but it seems more reasonable to think they are choosing not to do business because they don't want to risk AWS deciding to shut them off and give them one day's notice to move their entire infrastructure.

Really, anyone using cloud providers should have at least a plan on a side burner to move to another provider if they have to. We've seen cloud accounts canceled for many reasons, including no discernable reason at at all.

absolutely agree. In this scenario though, it appears AWS and Parler were in communication for weeks prior to this according to the letter in the OP.

I see what you did there.
