I've solved the problem a different way - a year or so ago I publicly declared my life "performance art" - New Zealand law protects artistic performances and prohibits recording of them without first obtaining a license

Theoretically security cameras must shut off before I pass by in the street


Not in NZ, but how did you go about publicly declaring your lives as "performance art"?


Oh I simply tweeted it ... at the moment it's a rather tongue-in-cheek position, but traditionally here one would place an ad in the "Public Notices" section of the local newspaper.

I've considered doping that just to publicly raise the issue - really we should all having public discussions about these issues before they are deployed, not after




The title of the article was pretty mangled by hacker news. Anybody know why that might be?


The "How" is missing, might be a title length restriction? You could always email hn@ycombinator.com to ask the mods...


HN has some filters to 'de clickbait' headlines, I suspect that removing a leading 'How' is one of those.
