I think this will get better as Rust becomes more mainstream. At the moment, I would guess that most developers who use rust do so by choice. By contrast, many developers who use C++, Java, JS, or even Go (see docker/kubernetes ecosystem) have little say in the matter. It's not that people don't like these languages, it's that they've been successful enough that some people, who aren't crazy about them, are writing code using them.



It seems to me some people are genuinely excited too much about it and some people are trying to show off that a 'hard' language is easy for them.
