The problem is you’re delighted by the code but everyone who comes after you can’t stand it.



You don't know that the word "great" in this case doesn't mean "simple, elegant, and as minimally abstracted as necessary"


It might not have been the intention of the original poster, but "great" to me implies pretty much the opposite of minimal abstractions. But perhaps I am just burnt by experience :)
