I see value in learning CS, but not the degree/university part. University has become a business and is causing long term strain on society through debt.
I think bootcamps attempt to fill this, although maybe less so for CS/maths fundamentals. Online course work seems good, but the social aspect of having a physical space to go to, meet and collaborate in is what's missing.
