I don't even need to write up a full reply, because you went and proved my point perfectly.

Idiots like David Duke and Richard Spencer make weak strawmen here. And i'm not even going to play into that game.

The problem is that paying better attention to whom you... defend(?), works both ways. Certain groups and people are literally believed and "protected" by the mainstream media by default, when they are clearly coming from a pretty strong POV.

>your own making

No it's a silencing tactic, no more and no less.

When one side stops calling everybody else nazis, then maybe we can all come together and have an adult talk about "toxicity" but that's not going to happen as long as some keep acting like little children on the playground calling others names to shut down debate.

I'm not shutting down any debate, I am pointing out there are literal neo-Nazis being defended under the banner of Conservatism. Be angry at Quillette, not me. There are plenty more examples. You can side-step that all you want with vague accusations against "mainstream media".

And "one side calling everybody Nazis"? Really? Did you forget that Dinesh D'Souza wrote an entire book calling the left "Nazis"? That there were ACA protesters with Obama defaced as Hitler? Never mind shining examples of "adult talk" such as "Assume the Left Lies, and You Will Discover the Truth"[1].
