TL;DR: it's hard to retrain people into jobs that require different skill sets (e.g. from trucker to s/w engineer), and there may be not as many jobs offering equivalent salaries.

Interesting supporting info graphics, as well.

Ive heard this about trucks being automated for 3 years now.

Truck drivers have probably heard this for a few years longer than that.

At what point do you blame the individual for not learning any skill in this time period?
