Blockchain to Tackle Recidivism: 70MJobs' New ICO
2 points by RBBronson123 on May 14, 2018 | hide | past | favorite
In the nine months since we announced the launch of 70MillionJobs (the first for-profit employment/job board platform for Americans with criminal records), we've placed hundreds of deserving men and women into new jobs and new lives, grown our community of active job seekers to one million +, begun working with some of the country's largest employers, and begun making money.

But despite historically low unemployment rates leaving corporate America with million of unfilled jobs, companies still, understandably, have considerable negative bias towards hiring the formerly incarcerated.

And despite needing jobs desperately, people with records, understandably, are often less than enthusiastic about pursuing low-level, minimum wage jobs.

We think we have an elegant solution that incentivizes companies to hire the formerly incarcerated while simultaneously incentivizing folks with records to accept jobs, stay employed and avoid re-arrest.

We employing trust mediation, gaming theory and enhanced record-keeping and management capacities to help two disparate populations solve each other's problems. HR professionals, social scientists and economists agree we may be on to something very important. We'd like your input very much.
