I tried Atom and didn't have a positive experience, so I'm not going to type out a bunch of words defending it. But the "reinvent poorly" comment comes up all the time on Atom posts. You're not adding any original insight or humor.
I'm missing the part where someone else said the exact same thing I did.

That's likely because they reinvent things and do it poorly. This post is about yet another instance of that. It isn't something I've seen discussed before, it is a brand new part that has been reinvented poorly.
