Lately quite a few articles have come up on HN about why javascript is taking it too far ('5000 lines of code for hello world' and the like). Which has made me wonder what the current state of web component support is and how well they work in production.

The proof is in the pudding however, so I am wondering if anyone is using web components in production and what their conclusions are. I have duck-duck-go-ed the matter, but so far have only found a few older blog posts.

TLDR: Is anyone using/has anyone used web components in production and what are you conclusions?
