Today's hate speech is the same culture that could enable totalitarianism today. In fact much of it was enablers of totalitarianism; people are still circulating Protocols Of The Elders Of Zion, for example.
(also, we fought the "never 'censor' anything, ever" war on USENET decades ago over spam. You have to have the power to 'censor' spam if you want to have a forum that isn't mostly spam. How few genuinely unmoderated spaces are left? Would the moderators of fatpeoplehate have deleted spam or off-topic content?)
