HELP the neighborhood is flooded and the network is down, now I cant feed myself!



interestingly enough much of Houston had running electricity the whole time. We have an office downtown that flooded and never went to backup power and the datacenters stayed on the mains as well.


Yes, it's been incredible. My ATT fiber has been ROCK solid and not dropped a byte as far as I can tell.

I've been working from home all week, and we had electricity and internet right through the storm.

That's with 3 feet of water in the street outside.


I'm sure it has dropped many many bytes of data, it's just that the other layers of IP and TCP covered for it. Just like every internet connection.

But that's pretty cool they handled it.
