It's not unexpected that a political view is formed around a project once it outgrows the state of "only software or content".

Though it's a first time I hear about their abuse. Where can I learn more about the impact of activist agenda on these two projects?




1. The impact on Wikipedia is widely discussed: Huge donation drives with only the smallest amount of money going to Wikipedia development and evolution. Wikipedia could be much much more if the money would have been spend on Wikipedia instead of a myriad of other things.

2. The impact to Firefox: Slow browser that is way behind Chrome concerning features, or as in numbers: Lost the leading position in browser market share with no plan to regain the leading position again.
