Isn't `ssh` the best SSH client in the world, despite the KiTTY's claim? Not to mention, that I'd describe PuTTY/KiTTY more like 'only usable ssh client on windows platform' rather than what they're claiming on their website ;)


There are several ports of OpenSSH for Windows if you prefer that.


Microsoft is porting it officially too now.


Maybe that was true 2 years ago. Now Microsoft is maintaining OpenSSH for powershell and there is Bash for Windows providing direct linux binary support.


I'd wait til ssh.exe is a little more stable: https://github.com/PowerShell/Win32-OpenSSH/issues

I'm just about sick of PuTTY, though, ready to just drop a copy of MSYS2's ssh.exe in my DropBox\bin folder and leave it at that.


I use the bash subsystem now, but yeah I used ssh.exe for some time w/out issue as well.


I suppose that makes it the best by default.
