Hey, no dealership is going to call you back in a couple weeks talking about lemon laws and demanding a refund.



I don't think anybody can if you sell a used car as its owner. As far as I know, used car lemon laws apply only to cars sold by used car dealers.


I don't know the details of the law but I was under the impression that you can be sued as a private seller for misrepresenting the car in a negligent way (and obviously "negligence" can be in the eye of the beholder). I guess "lemon law" is not the term to use.


Anyone can pick up a phone.
