Orwell rolls in his grave

Actually, it would be Huxley rolling in his grave. Orwell was about government/"the system" oppression. Since these are private citizens/companies doing this, it's more inline with Brave New World.

Huxley/BNW

"But I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin."

Well, kind of. In BNW population too was controlled by government, but not through means of warmongering, fear and hate, but through pleasure inducing drug that made people numb to anything happening outside of their daily routine (and eugenics, mostly).

So I think banning is more Orwellian. But sure there are a lot of people who wouldn't care about censorship on the internet, even if it would affect them too.
