Not sure that'd work: "Sorry I mowed your child down, but it wasn't my fault, the computer didn't tell me I needed to pay attention". People are in general extremely quick to deflect blame from themselves (especially under stress) no matter _how_ stupid or implausible their no-the-spot excuse is.

There's a great quote from a judge a few years back in a court case over a driver excusing themselves for running into a bike "But the plaintiff was _clearly_ there to be seen.")
If the vehicle told you to be focused ahead of time(say a few minutes before, enough mragin), and recorded that action than legally at that point in time, you're driving a regular vehicle.
