Takeaways: skin tone affects vitD uptake, milk is insufficient, and lab tests report results against the average rather than against the recomended so a result of "normal" isn't enough. Also, fun fact: vitamin D has a huge impact on broken bones in the elderly... because it makes you not fall over in the first place!
