Why on earth simulate a living room with a TV on the wall? Why not simulate being in the best seat in a concert-hall sized movie theater with a massive screen? How about a little old fashioned movie theater, or a 50s drive-in?

I'm sure all these kinds of things can come later, it just seems odd to me that simulating being on a couch is the first take...

Came here to say this! First thought was "Why god why return to this interface??"


Simplicity? People are used to watching netflix on a couch with a TV in front of them.

Maybe they had a virtual living room ready to go too.
