Idk, was diagnosed very young and haven’t seen anyone professionally about it as an adult. Tbh I didn’t know there were different subtypes until your comment.
I struggled a lot with impulse control but that’s managed well with meds. I often “zone out” when doing.. well pretty much anything that I’m not very interested in
Not the OP, but I have the "yeah you have ADHD according to this survey" from my GP, along with an adderall Rx. I didn't know there were documented subtypes.
The article doesn't say whether it will come to North America. Of the six numbered models, only the ID.4 made it over here. And we got the ID.Buzz minivan. The upcoming ID.1 and ID.2 seem to be launching only in the European market.
Australia's Assistance and Access Orders (TAN, TCN, etc.) [0] basically allow the government to order mandatory backdoors into various software. They do have some oversight, but it isn't significant. They can order any employee, not just the company.
The wording is also... Squirelly. You can't introduce a weakness, but the definition of weakness excludes the entire concept of backdoors.
However, Technical Capability Notices can be ordered where:
> reasonable, proportionate, practicable and technically feasible
The employee/company can push back and argue one of those isn't met, but ultimately it is the office of the Governor General that decides.
So far, it has basically only be used against journalists [1], as far as we know, which is nice and horrific.
Maybe don't put too much into the word "court order", but instead interpret it as an order from the government to force the company to use the tool for the governments/country's benefit.
One could also assume that the owners and/or management of the company are in the same boat as the government/country so they do not mind using the tool for the country's benefit when needed.
Cars and electric bikes are banned, but horse drawn carriages are still present.
The island itself is somewhat bicycle friendly if you can manage hills, but other than the touristy downtown, all the housing is spread out and definitely not what anyone would think of as walkable, especially in winter months.
For context the island is 3*4km. Assuming MAX distance (4km), it seems reasonable for most with a little adaptation time. perhaps a bit harder if it’s been decades someone lives under controlled AC and move every km with a car but a 4km walk is definitely achievable by most and is in the perfect walk range to become healthier. A muscular bike might help to ease the first trips.
Weather is only a matter of clothes. The cold might be disturbing at first but you get used to it, and a good coat keeps you safe. Plus: walking or biking keeps you warm.
I think that's just a quirk of HackerOne's username system. The username daniel was previously owned by another account (now known as daniel-hamid) which submitted a bug to Adobe. If you go through @hackermondev's tweets (starting in 2018) they are without question a kid (making games in Roblox and Minecraft) and then started to show an interest in hacking in 2020 (which lines up with when they created their HackerOne account). The claim of being 15 years old is plausible (presumably with parents / guardians who are accomplished in technology).
Opus and Vorbis are far from useable everywhere. On the other hand, there isn't a piece of software or hardware that won't accept MP3. MP3 is the lingua franca of sound, and should stay that way for a century.
Alternative clients do exist but OWS has a history of taking them down and/or making protocol changes to block them, similar to AIM back in the original days of Pidgin.
Unfortunately, whether or not a client is sanctioned for use on Signal-owned infrastructure is entirely up to the Signal organization, and they have been rather hostile to such clients.
It's no secret that Android users are money tight compared to Apple users. It makes sense to start on iOs and gauge subscribers before spending additional resources on making another app
