People have wildly different reactions, some of my friends can take 14g+ and be fine, others are barely able to talk after 2g. Plus potency varies wildly between crops and strains.

Also, there are different types of shrooms, saw at least 7 types last in Amsterdam, potency varied significantly. Also, how empty your stomach is makes world of difference. Also, method of consumption - dried vs fresh, raw/cooked, or like me mixing it with raw lemon juice (makes trip shorter but way more intense - 3g trips were full beyond reality with good setting).

Plus individual variation in digestion/enzymes/receptors/god knows what else is most probably also important.

Mm, there's a world of difference between, say, 7g of Cyanescens and the same dry weight of a Cubensis.

What brand of prescription methamphetamine are you taking? It seems from a quick google like it is only prescribed exceedingly rarely?

I had to build rapport with my psychiatrist for over 2 years before she finally prescribed it. Thank god because it saved my life. I still have to deal with so many issues regarding this being so highly controlled. I hear there’s only one brand allowed in the US, on my bottle it says “Hikma”. I see how this can be addicting because it has a slight euphoria, but I’m just not interested in pushing it more. I take 5mg/day. I believe recreationally they take 50mg hits in the pipe! Meth is so safe (LD-50 wise) people can smoke a gram a day and not die. Try that with adderall. The war on drugs is bullshit and harms the people it’s supposed to help.

Here’s the thing. Since it’s improved every aspect of my life (including my sleep), If I get cut off for some political reasons, I’m going to buy it in the street and take it. And that helps me how? Hah. Thank you for reading my story.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "amphetamines permanently ruin your ability to self correct"? In what way?

The anti-drug propaganda you were taught in grade-school was at least somewhat true.

Basically after prolonged stimulant [ab]use, your brain stops "caring" about natural rewards because they're so insubstantial in comparison to synthetic ones. Like a captive-bred animal, your brain no longer appreciates its own procurement of rewards because it has been trained to be hand-fed cocaine-battered filet mignon.

I'm not a psychiatrist or neuroscientist so my understanding is limited and based on anecdote and experience, but I've never met a career meth-or-coke-abuser who found happiness in anything once they went sober. The cravings never go away; they literally need the drugs just to feel anything more than melancholy and they are always irritable and underwhelmed without them.

There is some argument over whether dopamine receptors repair themselves; I don't know if this is true, but if not that then there is something else permanently lost to amphetamine usage.

Selling a few million dollars worth of bitcoin would only slip the market a couple of dollars if at all. Go look at bitmex or bitfinex's order books - they have plenty of liquidity.

95% of that volume is fake [1] especially on bitfinex haha, they’re the scammiest. When they launched they were just importing order books from other exchanges to make it look like they had volume, and they launched Tether when they lost banking which also lost banking and had hundreds of millions seized for money laundering. Bitfinex is the biggest scam in the space and that’s saying a lot.

What do you need to see to consider lightning network a "success"? It's already running on mainnet, me and my friends have a lightning node. Much different than sharding which is not yet implemented (like all of ethereums big promises)

I'd like more time to pass in order to see what shape (graph-wise) the network will take, and how realistic running your own personal node will be 10-30 years from now (provided Bitcoin and LN remain viable).

I like the concept of LN, but I am unsure what kind of on/off-ramp fees (I am only worried if it's in the thousands of dollars or more) people might have to pay in order to increase the funds of their node - and more importantly open/close channels (because services for topping up will surely be much cheaper than opening/closing channels). I'm not worried about that now, but in the future once a large percentage of the world might be using it as their primary financial interface.

And lastly, a big concern for me is the legal situation of crypto and LN (LN separate because it's much more anonymous). While technically nobody can stop you from using LN, it would be much better if I could run my node and use it for the majority of my financial activity(including receiving salary).

If I've said something reminiscent of concern trolls, please note that I think that Bitcoin still has the greatest potential (over Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum).

P.S. I'd also like to know when we'll have a user-friendly, relatively bug-free (will never lose money) app for using LN. Or have I missed that?

Author incorrectly conflates Bitcoin with other coins/tokens. While 99% of coins are centralized scams as the author states, Bitcoin actually is decentralized.
