That's one region, not the multiple region that OP mentioned

Services in other regions depended transitively on us-east-1, so it was a multiple region outage.

Which services in other regions? I remember that day well, but I had my eyes on us-east-1 so I don't remember what else (other than status reporting) was affected elsewhere.

> After Dark is a privacy-focused hypermedia authoring system designed to amplify the world's most influential voices.

The tagline is really buzzwordy ... I have no idea what that means.

What buzz words are you picking up on? Privacy? Not sure how I could reword that.

I really enjoyed the "cinematography" that went into this -- made it extra special. The little boop comment in the middle of a very crucial detachment made me laugh pretty hard. Well done!

I've had both -- signing bonuses that are provided day 1, but can be clawed back if I don't stay the expected length of time. And I have had signing bonuses that are paid out on my one year anniversary. You should have asked for it to have been written/clarified in your contract though if it was not clear.

2013? That wiki link says the release date was 2016, but the company "had entered insolvency. Many customers still had not received their pre-orders". Sounds like it wasn't profitable to create such cheap devices?

Sounds like a mistake? Maybe they sent a letter to the wrong customer?

Short video about Dr. Lukwiya's story. He was on a sabbatical, but rushed back to provide aid, while others were running in panic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7LpjpuOvc8

"Look for the helpers" -- Mr. (Fred) Roger's mother.

By "sabotage" they meant "did not cooperate". Title is more click-baity then accurate.
