What Java alternatives do we have other than Mono/C#?

All the other programming languages. What makes C# and Java particularly special?

Huge communities, vast library ecosystem, widely taught, used a lot in industry

That depends on what you think is important in Java. The language? Plenty of alternatives. The virtual machine? Not so much. Or perhaps even the class library?

There are lots of ways to express how we should treat eachother (and animals), other than "Rights".

Being able to think outside of the existing paradigm of rights based thinking is not something that is "wrong" it is actually more 'considered' than knee jerk assertions.

So why isn't their repo put back up? I thought the standard procedure was notice-takedown-counternotice-restore?

There is a minimum waiting period after counter-notice (10 days I think.)

Does this break Meteor.js? (It uses <template> for.. templates)

Seems like it shouldn't, since it appears to require invoking JS code to use the templates.
