I've been thinking of pulling the trigger on buying the P1S, but now, I think I'll wait a little longer to see the outcome. My makerspace has a P1S and a couple of A1s that I can use. I'll recommend to either wait or get another brand for this year's purchases, just to be safe. Does anyone have good alternatives?

the closest you can get is old.reddit.com, which is the one I used all the time, but they've removed the nifty feature of listing the last 10 posts that I went to

Wouldn't RES be well positioned to provide that functionality?

It might be, it might already be there.

But RES has stopped feature development in 2021. If it's not there, it's not coming anytime soon.

> Q: Why doesn't RES incorporate reddit gold features?

> It's unfair and unwise to undercut reddit inc.'s development work. Get gold!

This is about Gold but it might be a more general "we do not step on Reddit's toes" kind of rule too.

Stack Rank is bad is because mid to low performing developers will put a lot of effort to not get fired. That means they're not fully putting all their focus and effort on the company's goals. Their views will focus on short term gain/success because they expect to eventually get fired. They'll try to get an accomplishment notch on their resume and preferring speed over quality and design. Hopefully their managers will see their accomplishments over the other brown nosing under performers and won't be around for the fallout of their low quality work. That's only for the ones who have hope. The hopeless ones who knows they can't make it won't care about the quality of their work and would focus more on finding another job.

Keep in mind there will be much more people complaining about how bad some electronic device is than people praising about how good it is because they have more reason to complain. All products have lemons and unless there's a site that collects information on repairs, it's hard to tell which laptop has a bad design. I've had 2 Dells for myself and bought one for my dad (all Inspirons) and never had a problem with them. Lattitudes are workhorses, so with people now working remotely there are companies that buy those laptops by the 100s, so the production quality of Dell Lattitudes should be high enough that Dell wouldn't have to deal with warranty issues from its corporate clients

I don't think this is a case of "some units are lemons"- from what I can see this is a design flaw of some sort. I've been buying Latitudes for personal use now for MANY years and this is the first "annoys me every day and can't be fixed (or they refuse to fix it)" issue I've had.

btw, If you have office 365 subscription, Onedrive has 1TB space to use

there's another similar project here: https://www.project-aurora.com/ Maybe they can work together

It would be interesting to see Microsoft's pattern compared to the 2

Personally I'd rather Uber fire the HR department who are handling the harassment complaint first. They're the one who are not doing their job.

HR department rarely has any discretion. They are the mouth piece of the management. They just put it in nicer words and polished corp speak.

the digital nomads can work remotely, so some of them just do their work in Singapore while their employers are not there. It's true that the pay there wasn't that great for (I worked there 14 years ago), but the cost of living is on the low end if you live outside the central area.

Shouldn't it be called Cyber UK Army knife instead of Cyber Swiss Army Knife, then?
