Even the blog post reads like it was written by AI.

It's had enormous problems in Firefox. For me it would reliably hang the entire tab.

There was a time when zooming out did give you a sphere.

It still does for me! This is a feature that can be turned on or off on Google maps web, under the layers menu.

Is it much different than what Google AI Summaries do?

It's possible it's from some other model or even a human, but it reads like every other Claude Code readme I've seen.

so then it could be written by a claude model inside opencode before anthropic got angry about it :)

OpenCode still works fine with Claude models.

You just can’t use their private APIs, which isn’t really surprising.

There are workarounds on github already... It's less "can't" and more "they don't like it"

I don't know why LLMs talk in a hybrid of corporatespeak and salespeak but they clearly do, which on the one hand makes their default style stick out like a sore thumb outside LinkedIn, but on the other hand, is utterly enervating to read when suddenly every other project shared here is speaking with one grating voice.

Here's my list of current Claude (I assume) tics:

I'd read 100 blog posts by humans doing their best to write coherent English rather than one LLM-sandblasted post

It's even worse than that, TikTok & Instagram are labeled "social media" despite, I'd wager, most users never actually posting anything anymore. Nobody really socializes on short form video platforms any more than they do YouTube. It's just media. At least forums are social, sort of.

Right, which is why it's so strange to suddenly see every other readme and blog post that gets shared on this site speaking with the same tone of voice. Dead Internet theory finally came here.

I don’t mind reading LLM output, but it feels like plagiarism when people won’t admit they’re doing it.
