I worked for a company that manufactured and applied a hybrid sealcoat/asphalt product. The product was transported in 10,000 gallon tankers. During the winter my co workers and I would have to clean out the residual product inside of the tankers with pneumatic air chisels. It was freezing cold dirty ass work, I'm very grateful I no longer have to work that job.

My father reported a similar story induced by LSD. He had an out of body experience where he was up in the air watching himself have a conversation with a friend walking down the beach.

Bonus points: Start a fire with feathersticks and a ferro rod.

Almost anything on serious eats by Kenji is good imo. There is a whole section on pizza but the above recipe is my favorite.

I just bought the Adder WS and can't believe the quality of the trackpad. I also own a 2015 MBP and before the Adder I had not found another laptop with a trackpad that can rival the Mac. Overall very satisfied with the whole machine so far.

I like Robert Anton Wilson's definition. "A stochastic process is a random series, but it is a special kind of random series. In a stochastic process, some agent or agency is making selections—picking out of the randomness a pattern that is not random."

Agreed. I just feel bad for him now, it appears he was very depressed and that's nothing to romanticize.

Most people do not romanticize or seek to emulate Bukowski although I know at least one person who does. Bukowski lived a life that I wouldn't like to trade places with which is what makes him interesting. I can only read about so many scientists and thinkers who lived their lives beyond reproach all day every day.

Sounds like you’ve never experienced the joys of online dating.

Be thankful for this

How's Bukowski related to online dating?

Possibly he is referring to constant rejection and feeling worthless. Although, Henry Chinaski was getting laid a lot.

No not quite. I’ve just seen an awful lot of quotes from a few of his books and poems used almost like strange personal affirmations in dating profiles.

Henry Chinaski was getting laid a lot after writing his first book.

Sounds mild for a wook. Normally their tolerance is so shot they will eat a strip and be unphased.
