This will pave the way for iMessage to become a separately paid service, at least for users who aren’t hardware customers for apple. Currently, iMessage is ‘free’ to hardware holders. Was Bells services free if you bought their phone?

Surely you mean Cleo, of math.stackexchange fame? https://math.stackexchange.com/questions/562694/integral-int...

edit: stackwhatever, sorry

My god, what am I looking at? Is this what mathematicians do all day? My brain hurts.

This seems to be leaning more towards applied mathematics rather than pure math.

I don't know enough math to understand the difference. I'm just glad there are people way smarter than me able to work in that field.

The rr command is already somewhat well-known as a debugger from the rr-project[0]. Rerun is definitely inspiring, and good tools do that. Brett Victor is a great inspiration, I’m glad I saw that his work inspired rerun, that’s cool.

Steam play streaming from every screen I own has been really nice though. That’s what my gaming rig does, it’s not even got a primary display attached unless my remote access isn’t cutting it.

I haven’t set up moonlight or anything else except shadow, ps plus (nee now) and GeForce now, and ps remote. I have chiaki set up but sees little use except from my gpd handhelds

Damn, and that’s latency-free enough for things like FPS online multiplayer?

I can’t imagine using a wireless display for gaming. It’s bad enough just for remote access via VNC.

My steam deck almost arrived before the delivery person marked it to return for damage inspection. It’s still there, but I’m almost certain I’ll never receive it. Steam support has been silent and not responded since Friday.

It will work out, just be patient and courteous. I've interacted with Steam support a couple times about VR hardware, and they went above what I was even asking for.

How dare they take weekends off.

Their weekends must start on thursdays then, haha. Everyone has great stories about how prompt steam support is, but I got nada

They don't seem to.. I got a reply on my steam support ticket Saturday afternoon.

It's the weekend. Give them a few business days.

You’ll be fine. My experience with their support has been great. Seems to be the case with others as well.

As they lower their voices, place unknown substances, and actively destroy evidence, you might be too far from them to capture it.

It’s been 9 years since Aaron Swartz passed.

Well, not to the day, but it's never a bad time to remember him. Rest In Peace.

Panic is pretty much exactly a “Native MacOS” company. It’s in their blood, it’s in their history.

Some ISPs, when pressed for refunds from downtime or poor service, ask if you have any reports. SNMP and connection monitoring has been the mainstay in my local network that’s provided those reports with an always-on server that captures my router traffic info. Specifically, I use PeakHour for MacOS.

With the reports I provide, they give me refunds. Death before dishonor.

And with that response, I hope you and your project are very happy together and wish you the best of luck.

not my project, but thank you nonetheless
