i find that it’s actually fairly common for people to have accumulated several loose and random cables over time. even my mother, who is not particularly a technologically inclined individual, still had several hdmi cables and different usb cables. every single device (not just phones but things like flashlights, wireless accessories, fans, etc…) people buy that needs to be charged generally comes with a charging cable, and there are ever more usb chargeable devices coming on the market nowadays.

hell, even homeless people such as myself tend to have giant collections of random cables, even when they don’t actually have anything that requires charging.

Universal Paperclips is one of those true gems and in my opinion one of the standout examples within the incremental genre of what a game can really be. also good incrementals: a dark room, SPACEPLAN, kittens game, and trimps. with the exception of SPACEPLAN, all of these games have always been greatly enjoyable despite feeling like the worst type of work that one could be doing. i find it odd that I'm willing to do that sort of resource allocation and microoptimization thing almost endlessly for free, but the idea of doing it in meatspace for pay seems almost intolerable.

seconding what baash05 said, want help? this sounds like a really neat project and I'm honestly better with helping other people's ideas come to fruition than I am starting my own.

nb: i am homeless so my availability is somewhat sporadic since it's dependent on when I can charge my phone and such. but I got a laptop hiding out somewhere I just never use it out on the streets because it's a battery addict and drains that like an alcoholic does whiskey. also it's a 2006 dell xps m1701 so it's actually just a hefty beast.

but yeah. let me know if interested as well. email in bio etc

stupidity is just misapplied or developing intelligence. can't have one without the other lol

came here for this, seemed the most natural pronunciation

capture name {} is a thing it listed

the act of coming up with hypotheses and then testing them is kinda how knowledge is generated, though. and often it can be effectively done by people who aren't thoroughly knowledgeable in a subject, especially as a means to becoming such

No, physics is more than just intuition and prose. We use formal language and notation in order maintain correctness.

The problem here is the conflation of "mathematical model" and "theory" in physics, which doesn't hold in general language. Physicists have gotten stuck on the idea that the math doesn't just predict reality, it "is" reality. In truth, a mathematical model can be perfectly correct and also nonsensical, just look at any neural network. A theory should really be an philosophical/ontological thing, and a model should be a mathematical thing.
