Love the idea, have you looked at hashr.io? Could you add your contact details on the site? Also add details of timestamp on the message. Maybe tag @patio11 on twitter?

for bitcoin lopp.net/bitcoin if you want to play with data coinmetrics.com Linda Xie wrote some guides back in the day to keep up with eth, ethhub and ethresearch

Its probably more than one company. but even then, lets say that it was one company, shouldnt decentralized, open protocols have open specs to help create more clients?

Yes of course they should, but if core development is isolated to one or two companies, then they're not incentivized to produce these open specs so that they can maintain control, because they are also building businesses around these protocols. Another question: Is a protocol truly decentralized if its development is centralized?

"In particular, while this page is quite complete in describing the network protocol, it does not attempt to list all of the rules for block or transaction validity." Cmon man..

I agree with your comment. What I think is a public spec will help develop client diversity and keep the commits aligned with an explicit spec.

Have you looked at ideamarkets.org and whatever happenned with trustory? I dont know why people want are building blockchain based fact verifiers.something in the zeitgiest. Best of luck with this project.

Hey, thanks. Yes I’ve seen them. Trustory was pretty cool. They started with fact-based statements I think, but then transitioned to any kind of debate. Ended up closing down though: https://medium.com/trustory-app/why-trustory-is-shutting-dow...

didnt ledger cli try this with dot ledger that was used by hackclub?

Nice question! Dotledger is a full suit accounting tool To replace Xero personal finance. Decimals is a primitive API that can be used to build that or other kinds of applications, but it would be only one of the pieces of the overall system at the moment.

Hey Canterbury, very intrigues with the idea of using a private blockchain for this purpose. I building exactly that as a service. Could we have a quick chat about what issues you had and the process?

love it, I was thinking about doing a similar thing. How did you think about github as a cms vs a wysiwyg thing like askalmanac?

Open-Source, Support for Markdown format, Seamless integration with TravisCI/Wercker, Free hosting for static content. GitHub checks all the boxes. BTW I don't know about askalmanac. WYSIWYG is inbuilt in GitHub for Markdown.

was just thinking of doing something like this. thought about licensing issues with ghost pro. isnt there a issue there?

Ghost is open source under MIT license [0], so I think there are no issues. There are others hosting Ghost; some are active on the Ghost forums. I am not aware of any licenses from their GhostPro hosting platform. Hope this helps
