Not necessary anymore, you can message yourself in WhatsApp now. They even sent me a notification in that regard. (That is recent though and I wish I'd known that (clever) workaround before this was possible)

Recent? Unless you mean the notification, sending yourself a message has been possible for a long time. Just to make sure I know what I'm talking about I checked the conversation history with myself and the earliest messages are from 2016.

This is a very good point. Would be lovely to see a) representative survey data on this for countries, where available b) the aggregate results from the websites that do offer this to humans (like political compass.org, which is one of the tests they do).

That's a funny sentence given that non-meat eaters will presumably suffer from the next avian flu as much as meat eaters.

Edit: though to be generous, maybe the author means it in a more broad sense - what hope is there for meat eating given its various drawbacks. Still, strange sentence imo
