Had my first experience with ZeroCater today -- late last night I told a friend I'd be coming by to work out of their office, and somehow between last night and lunch today they were able to add an 'extra' order on to the delivery and had a sandwich for me at lunch today -- +1 for food in my stomach
Interesting site, didn't get to play in too much detail but I got hung up on the OS slider -- maybe make this a radio or some sort of toggle since it's only 2 selection items?
I know - two item selection with slider is not natural, but I wanted to keep one style. Don't know what is better - one style or a more natural widget.
I hear you on that one -- my engineering degree trained me to like 90-degree angles and consistency =p
Not sure of a way to keep it consistent and make it natural...there must be a UI pattern somewhere!?!? My go to would be to browse jQuery UI and YUI Widgets...ha
I think I will be replacing the SmartGWT widgets with something else, due to big download size caused by that library. SmartGWT was main contributor to the slow page start. It might be a right time to review other widget options :-) But I'll definitely try the radio buttons for OS.
Interesting...and similar thoughts to those below where the "Connect with Facebook" pushed me towards considering the site to be spam.
Is the end goal getting information centralized? Makes me think of Greplin, except rather than import all the data to a central 'store', they allow you to search it all from a central location.
For a over a month now we've been using the service, and it's been smooth sailing without a hitch - really impressed and interested to see what these guys do next
Could you guys go for .03/minute? I could get .03/minute on my cell phone to call around a dozen countries in thailand (http://www.truemove.com/en/Inter-SIM-postpay.rails) and you can get 1500 for $30/month (0.03) minutes to call people anywhere in the US with t-mobile.
elai we're always trying to reduce cost, the reason for it being a bit higher is because we have the business features (it's like GVoice+) - maybe a 'dumbed down' version is in order?
Thanks for the feedback! Canadian numbers automatically get bumped up to 100 free minutes and 1-year free. The only reason we've left off 'overage' at the moment is because we wanted the signup to be seamless and credit card free! Ping us at support@tellfi.com and we can work something out.
We agree the integration of Google Voice and Google Talk is a great feature. As we are targeted more towards business users, we typically found people weren't as interested in talking into a 'machine' as we would have initially expected. We'd be interested to hear if more people than we realize are after this feature.
my company increasingly uses google talk/google voice for our primary voice communications. we talk into our machines...be it via GV or skype. if we aren't in front of our computers, we fwd to our mobiles. we're business users.
