From my experience, I think Rails would be a good option. I myself am new to programming (been doing it for less than 3 months) and have found Rails to be relatively easy/ straight forward. Plus there is are so many ressources out there in case he would like to learn more.

Rails for Zombie could be a good starting point.

Side note, when I say I am new to programming, 3 months ago I barely knew what css ment - and have never taken a cs class.

"Join or create customized events..." could be aligned with the text above. Not sure I like the indentation between the title and paragraph - the difference in font weight ought to be enough, maybe?

Aside fron that, great overall design!

I'll definitely take a look at the indentation. Anyone else feel the same way? I'll be running a lot of A/B tests to figure out what exactly works out as this is my first real landing page. Thanks for the feedback!

Addictingly amazing!! Is there I way to record my jam session?

There was a post about stripe.com not too long ago. Perhaps you should try checking them out

When will the USPTO put a stop on such BS patents, seriously! One day we will run out of colors, layouts and "business models" to patent... and then what?

Patents are meant to encourage entrepreneurship... not fund court rooms and judges' salaries.

>One day we will run out of colors, layouts and "business models" to patent... and then what?

Then a countdown to the expiration of the last patent will start.

And then we will enter an era of freedom of innovation. You will be free to take any design you like and improve on it without fear of being sued into oblivion if your design sees any kind of success.

server down?

Hi Josh, which DogPatch Lab are you working out of? The NY one?

yah, you here? i'm wearing the Princeton shirt today haha

Ha, I wish!

Currently working at an ad agency and learning how to program/ building my own project during nights and weekends.

Was wondering if you'd want to grab coffee or drinks in the upcoming weeks - would love to learn more about Roundtable and your experience thus far.

sure man. shoot me an email: josh@atroundtable.com

It does take a little bit, and the content seems to be rendered by layers (first the black one, then the logo, then the gradient).

Once its all loaded, awesome design :)

Btw, I took screenshots if you want me to send them.

john.howard@choicr.com

Great, will send you the screenshots on monday as they are in my office computer.

Just sent you a new set of screenshots - should be in your inbox shortly.

Thanks, we are working with an amazing designer!

He is amazing indeed :)

Thanks a lot for the feedback, will definitely add San Antonio and Austin as soon as the site gets a bit of traction.
