I'm going to guess you don't actually have a sprinkler system.

Being from Utah, I love seeing useful technologies come out of our oft forgotten tech center.

Around $1000 per month for an iOS app I wrote in 2008 and have made some updates to. It used make around $2k a month.

They use some JS to add and remove classes, but they are all either CSS transitions or CSS animations.

I normally would agree with your low valuation sentiments, but the competition is really fierce (Roku, AppleTV, even Ouya) and I haven't seen more than one Boxee out in the wild.

I've got three in my house. Amazing devices imho.

Initially I wrote it using 2 div's (one for the segment and one for the gap) so it would work in ie8, but I opted to go with one div, since its cleaner DOM-wise.

I tend to use it for sites that have low line-heights. Like this site. The wide page and low line-height make it really hard for me to read. For reading content I'd say a min of 160% line-height.

Non-techie in me: Maybe this will make Starbucks actually have good tea... or at least more variety. (Teavana is more smelly tea than tasty tea)

Wasn't that also the point of them acquiring Tazo back when?

Tazo teas don't have the reputation of being high-end enough to fetch the prices teavana teas do. I drink some of them, but boy, they ain't cheap.

I mean Teavana, but in hindsight that same comment applies to Starbucks as well.

Except Tazo is pretty pedestrian, the General Foods International Coffees of tea.

The general consensus is that they timed it to coincide with Apple's announcement, so that the news of them laying off employees would be buried by all the Apple press.

I think it has more to do with getting the cuts out of the way before their Q3 earnings report comes out tomorrow. Facebook just mentioned in their earnings call this afternoon that they've been hit by a 20% YoY drop in revenue from Zynga, so you know Zynga's results are going to be bad.
