I go with the “wrong email address” replies when I can too, but for bigger orgs sending automated emails like Apple in this case that doesn’t work.

I’m wondering whether to look through all the attachments I’ve received over the years for a phone number and maybe try to call them but I’m not sure how that would go down.

There is unfortunately a risk of false positives with this approach - I might want to use the <surname><forename> variation myself for certain things and I should be able to do that.

then you have to get creative with the filter. Filter on the to and the subject line and content etc.

Both.

unless you've inflated a balloon

Doesn’t seem to be standard behaviour, on iOS 16 at least.

I tried multiple phrases to share a song and Siri shared a Spotify link every single time:

That's good to know. I have a 6S, so I can only upgrade to 15.4.

“Say Yes more. The people without passion are the ones who always say no. But the happiest people are the ones who understand that good things occur when one allows them to.”

From the brilliant book “Yes Man”, by Danny Wallace.

Sorry, but awful advice. Being afraid of saying "No" and feeling compelled to say "Yes" all the time and trying to make everyone except yourself happy is the worst way to life your life. Been there, done that, won't go there again.

I don't think it's a question of "feeling compelled to say yes", or even being afraid to say no.

To me, the advice is more like "be open to new experiences / be willing to take a chance on the unknown". That doesn't mean you should always say yes to everyone because you're afraid of what they might think of you / might not like you / you owe them anything / etc.

You’ve misinterpreted the advice :) It’s not about being compelled to say yes all the time to make others happy, it’s about saying yes _more_ to make yourself happy.

As an example, a work friend of mine invited me to a house party once at their shared house, there were a lot of people going but I didn’t know any of them except her. My instinctive reaction was to say “thanks, but no thanks”, but I decided to take a gamble and say yes.

I ended up having a really good evening, and I met some really great people who I now consider to be friends of my own. All because I took a gamble and said yes to something I’d typically say no to.

Did you watch "Yes Man" starring Jim Carry? This is the exact plot conclusion you're describing.

Still a great shot stopper, but there are much better goalkeepers than him around now. Goalkeeping isn’t all about stopping shots, the top teams want to build from the back and a goalkeeper who can actually play football with their feet is paramount to that. Keepers like Allison and Ederson are miles ahead of DDG in that regard.

Assuming you mean 12am here? Or do you really sleep for 18.5 hours per day?

Lo-fi mostly, with the occasional sprinkle of Synthwave and Retrowave

Are you aware that the voice actor for Guybrush is Dominic Armato - the same voice actor from every other MI game?

I was not. Perhaps I'm showing my age, then. The first two games I played - utterly beloved to me - didn't have voiced audio.

Everything thereafter is a blur that just got worse and worse.

Perhaps I should give this one a miss, then? (I won't)

I would definitely recommend giving MI3 a go if you haven’t played that.

I played the first two games on my Amiga 500 many moons ago and they’ll always be special to me for igniting my love of the genre, but hearing the characters talking for the first time in 3 blew me away :)

He voiced MI3 which is worth playing, and also re-voiced MI 1 and 2 for the re-releases, and did a great job.

Yeah, I could tell it was him, but I hope they haven't really started dialogue recording and this was a one-off.

His performances are usually more... Lively? Swashbuckle-y? Guybrush is out of water but enthusiastic and trying for the pirates drawl, and I just didn't feel that with this trailer. I hope it's just because he wasn't warmed up for the role again.

Yes Man by Danny Wallace.

Not only was it a terrific read, it changed my life for the better and I believe it has made be a better, happier person.
