Congrats guys! We've been with Intuit for the last 5 years and recently made the transitioned to ZenPayroll - we haven't looked back. Huge fan of the automated emails along with their outstanding on-boarding/support.
I just subscribed because you don't charge ridiculous rates for international shipping (i.e. GitHub charging $17 for a $25 t-shirt). How can you offer it for free?
I wouldn't worry much about not having an official company name behind you - I've done this type of product validation a few times for my own ideas. In many cases, the customer is so focused on the value proposition that the company name is irrelevant. Again, it depends on the size of the transaction and whether its a B2B or B2C.
Awesome - I've just used it with a few buddies and love the simplicity! My only concern is that I'll have to send an additional msg to new friends to get them to click on the link as the msg sent via the app may seem a bit spammy. I wonder if you can somehow solve that.
The problem with "building something for others" rather than solving your own problems is you may not be passionate/persistent enough to survive the low's to get to the next milestone
