The old edge engine was much better, but a struggle to get people to build webpages for.

ChromeOS is absolutely flaming garbage, and its years from being suitable. Also no company in their right mind would trust google for privacy

They also who’ve no business trusting Microsoft when it comes to privacy, this being a company who has infamously stolen its competitors products several times and later bankrupted them, yet that hasn’t stopped them from succeeding.

Now, but maybe not in 30 years after inflation

You would have it invested somewhere that generates a return above inflation.

Some of these calculators (maybe all?) assume this wad of money you retire with is stored under your mattress.

Any example of a calculator assuming it's stored under a mattress?

Here's[1] an article on the 4% rule, and it clearly is about invested money:

> The rule applies to a hypothetical portfolio invested 50% in stocks and 50% in bonds.

30 years is a lot for retired individuals..

The harshest test for the 4% rule was the 1970s.

We might have been calling it The 6% rule otherwise...

So this how they are paying off that open AI investment

Found one of these a few years back, made some great friends, and we end up 'doing life' rather than just attending weekly etc. which is great.

There’s an internarional bible study called Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) [0] that likely has a group in a nearby city no matter where you are (traveling, etc). Weekly meetup. I was a group leader for a couple years, and went for a few years before that. Great way to meet others.

It's a PR stunt. Get shareholders and the public talking about 'oh poor CEO he lost a few of the many many millions he earns a year'

I can’t find a single instance of this being said about his pay cut in the media. If you could support this claim, it’d be appreciated.

Also, as an Apple shareholder, that’s definitely not my reaction to the pay cut.

An expensive one and probably least successful as many haven't heard the news.

Oh you know, just around

I see what you did there

How do you find backblaze, I used it for a few months, but ended up going back to OneDrive

I dumped iCloud when I got a 365 subscription and that came with OneDrive which I find to be far better, and far faster when I need to download a whole bunch of files en masse (as I use On-demand for all my files now).
