Are you sure? I've recently watched a video where presenter mentioned how Lunar Lake based laptops are better then any Snapdragon.

For example https://www.pcworld.com/article/2463714/tested-intels-lunar-...

Well, in your article it already clearly states performance tanks as soon as you go on battery. By 20-40%..

On another very reputable Dutch site, you can see the Snapdragon consistently lead the Lunar Lake laptop, and that's with Lunar Lake set to maximum performance[0]

There is also a general logic to it: Apple M-series still handily beat anything Intel has, and Qualcomm's Snapdragons beat the M-series they follow up.

Maybe Intel can truly push x86 to unseen heights, who knows? There's nothing technically stopping them but so far it hasn't beared out. Similar with Nvidia, their RTX 3090 power limited at 340W got beat by an M1 maxed out at 120W. Why isn't the RTX 4090 or 5090 half the TDP?

Afaik iq correlates highly with g-factor (scientific name for general intelligence). We don't have much better ways to measure it.

Overall, afaik, again, problem solving often needed in our society correlates with this: "general intelligence". When people say: "But there are many ways to approach a problem, many types of intelligence".

This very well may be, but data consistently shows that people having high IQ scores solve different problems better. So, contrary to popular belief, people having higher iq in general have better talent for languages, same with understanding others emotions and using it to your advantage ("emotional intelligence").

As for reframing an issue and solving it in a different way. This may be valid approach (to teach people etc). But IQ is also time-measured. If your new approach does not help you to solve previously unseen problems quickly, it is not noticably increase your intelligence.

Thus, we see consistently that people cannot really prepare for iq tests much. You only get a few points more if you prepare. Same difference as if you are sleep-deprived.

G isn't so much the "scientific name for general intelligence" so much as one explanation for the positive manifold of intelligence. There are others: mutualism and sampling.

I'm not sure you're right about the trainability of tests, either.

I had an LCD that worked from around 2005 to 2022. It became very yellow closer to 2022 for some reason. It was Samsung PVA, I think it was model 910T.

Its old enough to use a CFL backlight and those turn yellow with age.

Thanks ;)

I wonder if OP used "octets" because physical pattern in the CD used to represent a byte is a sequence of 17 pits and lands.

BTW, byte size during the history varied from 4 to 24 bit! Even now, based on interpretation, you can say 16 bit bytes do exist.

Char type can be 16 bit on some DSP systems.

I was curious, so I checked. Before this comment, I only knew about 7 bit bytes.

I think this perfectly describes huge percentage of ADHD people. I always laugh when I am told: "But you don't sound so bad". Yeah, not sound so bad when I can be so deeply focused into something trivial like reading a blog, that I can miss a flight. And I KNOW I am that close of missing a flight, and still engage with something interesting right now, not something hugely critical to my life.

Nah, you may be missing or may be not, but there no way ay to explain psychedelic feelings. Just not possible. Sometimes world changes to wonder full or curiosity, and you think why, or why I cannot live like that always. Extent of this is not possible to experience without psychedelics or other strong mind altering practises.

Foxpro is alive and well in our town water utilities company. My fellow student still works on it. I don't know a worse way to waste your best years.

What do you consider waste? Living in a small town? Working for a utility company? Working with outdated software?

Working with FoxPro, I'm assuming. I spent several years dealing with xBase systems, and it was honestly a nightmare. I suppose if you've never used any other language or database, you wouldn't notice. Plus, the bit relative to the OP, it's a mostly worthless skill.

I was tired of sound stuttering on windows in expedition 33, nothing helped. Installed bazzite, issue almost solved. Game works much better.

You can also buy cells directly from china.

I found this store, which seems somewhat reliable https://hakadibattery.com/collections/sodium-ion-battery-cel...

From my limited research, sodium batteries are somewhat commonly used in Chinese EV.
