Oh wow. That's really bad, one of the ground rules of traffic participation is that traffic that goes straight on the same road as you when you turn always has priority.

This is yet another nail in the coffin for Uber and self driving. I think as a company Uber is categorically and institutionally unable to participate in this space in a responsible manner. Their whole corporate culture is totally opposed to what is required to make this a reality.
